Privacy policy
The app collects nothing, so this is a short read.
The short version
The LYD app collects no personal data. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics. Everything you do in the app stays on your device. The app is built that way.
What we collect
We do not collect or transmit any personal data from the app. Full stop.
- No account is required
- No names, emails, or contact information
- No in-app analytics, tracking, or advertising
- No data leaves your device, unless you choose to back it up yourself
Where your data lives
All your information, including check-ins, journal entries, and settings, is stored locally on your device.
If you enable LYD Plus features like iCloud backup, your data is stored privately in your personal iCloud Drive, accessible only by you and managed by Apple.
Optional backup & export
You can manually export or import your data via local files (the Files app or AirDrop). This is entirely optional and fully under your control. LYD Plus offers automatic iCloud backups.
Notifications
LYD sends local notifications to remind you to connect with your partner. These are generated on your device and respect your system's notification settings. We don't use remote push notifications and never collect data about how or when you interact with reminders.
This website
This website uses a self-hosted Umami service to count visits and understand which pages and buttons people use. Umami records page visits, referrers, general device information, country, and the named click events on the site. The data stays in Substruct's Umami service.
A 15 percent sample of sessions is recorded to help me see where the site is confusing. Replays capture clicks, scrolling, and page changes. Input fields are masked, each recording stops after five minutes, and replays are kept for 30 days. Umami doesn't use cookies or track you across other websites. Website analytics are separate from the LYD app, which has no analytics.
Your rights
Because we don't collect your data, there's nothing for us to sell, share, or delete. You're always in control of what's stored, whether to export or erase your history, and whether to enable iCloud backups. You can reset or delete all app data at any time in Settings.
Third parties
The LYD app doesn't use third-party analytics, ad networks, or SDKs. If you purchase LYD Plus, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple under their policies.
