Love You, Daily
Straight answers about a small app.
How the daily practice works, what stays free, and what happens to your data.
01
The basics
What is Love You, Daily?
Love You, Daily is a private iPhone app that reminds you to do one thoughtful thing for your partner each day. If you need an idea, LYD can give you one. After you act, one tap marks the day complete.
Does my partner need the app?
No. LYD is deliberately useful for one person. There is no partner account, invitation, shared feed, or setup on their phone.
What counts as a check-in?
You decide. A kind text, a cup of coffee, ten minutes of real attention, a useful task, or something more personal can all count. The tap records that you followed through. It does not score the action.
How do reminders work?
The free version can send up to two gentle local reminders each day, one in the morning and one later in the day. They stop after you check in. LYD Plus lets you choose exact reminder times.
What happens if I miss a day?
Nothing dramatic. A streak may reset, but LYD does not shame you or tell you that you failed. The next day is another chance to do something thoughtful.
02
Ideas and progress
Where do the ideas come from?
LYD Plus includes 365 bundled ideas organized by love language. You can choose which categories fit your partner, save favorites, and add your own ideas.
Does LYD tell me my partner’s love language?
No. Love languages are optional categories for browsing ideas, not a test or diagnosis. You decide which ones are useful, and you can choose more than one.
What does the app track?
LYD can show completed check-ins, your current and best streaks, and optional weekly or monthly goals. This is a private record of your practice. It is not a measurement of your relationship.
Can I add a private note?
Yes. You can add a brief journal note after a check-in and edit it later. The free version includes 10 journal entries. LYD Plus unlocks unlimited journaling.
Can I edit a past day?
Yes. Open a date from the Progress screen to change its check-in status or add and edit a note.
03
Privacy and LYD Plus
Do I need an account?
No. LYD does not support accounts or logins. There is no name, email address, or profile to hand over.
Where is my data stored?
Check-ins, notes, ideas, and settings are stored locally on your device. The app does not use advertising or third-party analytics. If you enable an iCloud backup, that backup is stored in your private iCloud Drive and managed by Apple.
Can I back up or export my data?
Yes. You can manually export your data. LYD Plus adds automatic iCloud backups. These are private backups, not a shared relationship account.
What is included with LYD Plus?
LYD Plus adds 365 ideas, unlimited journaling, custom reminder times, automatic iCloud backups, and the Apple Watch app. Core check-ins and reminders stay free.
How much does LYD Plus cost?
The annual option is $5.99 a year and includes a 7-day free trial. Lifetime access is a one-time $14.99 purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple.
How does the Apple Watch app work?
LYD Plus lets you check in or undo today’s check-in from your Apple Watch. The iPhone remains the source of truth for your data and Plus access.
